Exceptionally useful Genus GCSMK Shoulder Mount

There are numerous types of camera stabilizer and DSLR shoulder rig is one of the most well known types. You might not really feel too tired with that rig. Your shoulders will share part burden. The Genus GCSMK Shoulder Mount is one of the great DSLR shoulder rigs. It truly is created for Camcorders & DSLRs. The modular Design promotes it easy to Upgrade. The height is adjustable. Standard 15mm Rods, CNC Aviation Grade Aluminum.

After a long research process for rigs I decided on this device. One of the main factors that sold me was the counter balance. It's important to me to have a steady shot, but not at the risk of a damaged shoulder. I shoot short documentaries about a hobby/sport. I needed something that would help me: stabilize my 5dmii video shots; stay quick on my feet; and stay comfortable during long shoot days.

Solid build.

Outer coating makes for smooth adjustments without it being rickety.

Light weight.

Honestly, when it comes to rigs and other similar contraptions they all share similar qualities but one particular thing I can attest to is the effectiveness from the adjustment knobs (won't move, slide, creep or loosen). Compared to the ALL the rest, it stands out aesthetically.

Modular component design of the rig allows for easy breakdown and convenient transportation. Adjustable central column of your rig makes adjusting the height of your camera simple and quick. Non-slop foam grips are easily adjustable, allowing you to change them to the right position for you. Shoulder rig is available as a complete kit or as individual components. Modularity with the rig makes it simple to add more components. Designed with ergonomics in mind, it can be easily configured to your shooting style. The adjustable shoulder pad and counterweight allow you to configure the rig to maximize comfort and balance.

I also appreciate the adjustability of camera mount level, shoulder pad angle, and distance between handle bars. The standard bars are great I can add accessories from other companies, but I also chose this rig because it has almost everything I need for the type of shooting I do. I purchased an additional Genus Follow Focus and a Redrock microspud mount.

The Genus GCSMK Shoulder Mount is a modular, easy-to-assemble support rig designed to provide stability and comfort to long video shoots. The CNC aluminum parts fit together into a solid but lightweight system that can accommodate both camcorders and DSLRs. The included base plate, handgrips, shoulder mount, and counterweight can all be adjusted to balance your camera and accessories perfectly on your shoulder, making for a smooth and comfortable shooting experience. Using industry-standard 15mm rods, the rig is easily accessorized with your choice of optional tools such as mattebox, follow focus, or audio recorder.

So far my only complaints are that the handle bars need to tightened very tight to not budge and the lock down knobs in general cannot be adjusted to your desired pointing direction as the redrock micro ones do - this means you may have a knob protruding somewhere you don't want it, but to keep things tight you won??t be able to move it.
